Power outages intensify: Industry to be restricted tomorrow from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., population – from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Tomorrow, April 3, power restriction schedules for industrial consumers will be applied in all regions of Ukraine from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and hourly electricity blackout schedules will be in effect for all categories of consumers from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
This is stated in a message from Ukrenergo.
The reason for applying the restrictions is the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities.
"The situation in the energy system may change. Follow the announcements on the official pages of regional energy distribution companies in your region. When the power comes on according to the schedule, please consume electricity sparingly," Ukrenergo urged.
As reported, on April 2, power restriction schedules for industrial consumers were applied in all regions of Ukraine from 12:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
On April 1, power restriction schedules for industrial consumers were applied in all regions of Ukraine from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Prior to that, there were no electricity restrictions in Ukraine for several consecutive days.
Restoration of the energy system
Earlier, Ukrenergo updated its recommendations for Ukrainians. Since electricity consumption in Ukraine's energy system decreases during daytime hours due to sunny weather, it is better to turn on powerful electrical appliances during the day.
Prior to that, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal stated that after the resumption of regular massive strikes on the energy sector in October 2025, Russia damaged over 9 GW of TPP, CHP, and HPP capacities.
Later, Shmyhal reported that Ukraine has the capability to restore 2 GW of generation by the end of May.
Shmyhal also stated that the Ukrainian government plans to attract 5 billion euros from international partners this year for the restoration and modernization of the energy sector.
As a reminder, on March 5, Ukraine resumed electricity exports at a minimum level during certain hours of the day. Supplies occur exclusively if there is a surplus in the energy system.
