Kurchenko's accomplice involved in stealing UAH 400 million to stand trial
As reported by Censor.NET referring to PGO press service, the official by counterfeiting helped Kurchenko seize state property - LPG belonging to PJSC "Ukrnafta" and PJSC "Ukrhazvydobuvannia." As a result, the state suffered damage totaling more than UAH 400 million (approx. $16 million by today's exchange rate) regarded as a particularly large amount.
A corresponding indictment has been filed to the court, charging the former official of committing crimes under part 5, art. 191 (misappropriation, embezzlement of property, or its seizure by malpractice) and part 2, art. 366 (forgery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, providing for the maximum sentence of 7 to 12 years imprisonment with confiscation of property.
