Vinnytsia gets rid of Soviet street names

In accordance with the law on decommunisation, Vinnytsia has changed all Soviet street names.

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Hroisman wrote in Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"My native Vinnytsia has got rid of the Soviet names. I'm grateful to colleagues for the beautiful new street names. At first, perhaps, it's a bit unusual, but thanks to decommunisation we regain our history - both of Ukraine and Vinnytsia. It's nice that Google was quick to update the search engine with new names," Hroisman wrote.
