Militants continue attacks on Ukrainian forces' positions, - ATO press center
Over the day, Russian-terrorist gangs continued firing on Ukrainian army positions.
Censor.NET reports citing the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) press center.
"No enemy attacks have been registered at the Luhansk and Mariupol directions. However, militants delivered almost non-stop fire in the vicinity of Donetsk and in the Horlivka-Svitlodarsk salient.
"Terrorists based in the territory of the Donetsk airport opened fire with small arms and RPGs towards our strongholds near Opytne and Pisky several times.
"Ukrainian troops near Avdiivka got under fire delivered from the northern outskirts of Donetsk.
"The situation remains tense near Horlivka. Militants were active in the area of Novhorodske and Zaitseve. Several attacks on the ATO forces with small arms, RPGs, and heavy machine guns were recorded near Luhanske. A short skirmish with a small group of militants occurred. Effectively using small arms, Ukrainian soldiers forced the enemy to retreat.
"Our defenders also came under enemy fire in the vicinity of Troitske and Novoselivka.
"Since the beginning of the day, pro-Russian gangs used weapons against the ATO forces 37 times. Neither side has used heavy weapons," the report notes.
