Unemployment continues rising in Ukraine, - State Statistics Service
In December, the official unemployment rate in Ukraine has increased by 0.3 percentage points to 1.9 percent.
This was reported by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, Censor.NET informs citing Ukrainski Novyny.
According to the State Statistics Service, there were 490,800 unemployed registered by the agency as of Jan. 1, 2016.
433,500 unemployed were registered in the State Statistics Service as of Dec. 1, 2015.
The number of unemployed who have received state unemployment allowance amounted to 398,200 people in December. The average dole per unemployed person amounted to 1,444 hryvnia (about $55) in Dec. 2015.
