Dollar soared to UAH 26.7/$1, euro exceeds UAH 29/€1

Hryvnia has experienced the same drop in foreign exchange transactions via bank cards. In particular, country's largest PrivatBank increased dollar selling rate on Tuesday by UAH 0.43 up to UAH 26.95/$1 and euro selling rate by UAH 0.56 up to UAH 29.37/€1.
Ukrsotsbank gives the worst exchange rates in terms of card operations out of seven largest Ukrainian banks with UAH 27/$1 and 29.6/€1, while OTP Bank offers the best ones: UAH 26.3/$1 and UAH 28.67/€1.

The National Bank of Ukraine is trying to save hryvnia from falling even deeper by holding everyday currency auctions. In particular, on Tuesday, the offer was increased from $30 million to $50 million.
