Starobelsk Mayor Zhyvaha succumbed to his injuries

Mayor of Starobelsk city in the Luhansk region Volodymyr Zhyvaha has died as a result of head injury he sustained.

Censor.NET reports citing Public Relations Department of the National Police of Ukraine.

"The Starobelsk Police received information that Mayor of Starobelsk Volodymyr Zhyvaha, born in 1971, had died in an ambulance as a result of head injury he sustained.

"According to preliminary information, the guard, who was patrolling the territory, found Volodymyr Zhyvaha lying unconscious in the courtyard of the Starobelsk City Council Feb. 22 at 10 p.m.," the police reported.

The investigation team is currently working at the crime scene. The cause of death will be known after forensic examination.
