Russia complained to WTO over Ukraine's truck blockade
On Wednesday, at a meeting of the General Council of the World Trade Organization, the Russian delegation accused Ukraine of violating the WTO rules on freedom of transit.
Censor.NET reports citing ZN.UA.A representative of the Russian Federation expressed dissatisfaction with the ban against Russian companies on using the territory of Ukraine for transit transportation.
"There is no doubt that such actions directly violate WTO rules, in particular, in terms of freedom of transit. Kyiv utterly disregards international obligations under the WTO and the CIS," the Russian delegation stated.
It is noteworthy that this statement was made after Moscow and Kyiv reached an agreement on the resumption of freight traffic from Feb. 25.
