9,000 people killed, 20,000 injured in Russia-Ukraine conflict, - Minister Klimkin
As a result of the armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine, 9,000 people have been killed and 20,000 injured. Two million persons have been displaced.
Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said, Censor.NET reports referring to Interfax-Ukraine."Russia's aggression against Ukraine claimed lives of 9,000 people, while 20,000 were injured and nearly two million displaced. Over these two years of the aggression, a 40,000-strong army has been deployed in the Donbas, equipped and supported by Russia under the command of Russian officers," Klimkin said in his speech at the 1st Human Rights Council Session in Geneva.
The minister noted that Russia had come to Ukraine "with weapons and military, as it previously happened in Georgia in 2008."
