Patrol police to start operating in Zhytomyr March 22

The operation of patrol police in Zhytomyr is planned to be started March 22.

National Police Main Durectorate in Zhytomyr region spokesperson Olha Nomerchuk told Ukrainski Novyny, Censor.NET reports.

"As agreed with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, patrol police will start operating March 22," she said. According to Nomerchuk, patrol police officers will take the oath and start patrollling the streets of Zhitomir that day. 238 people are completing training as of now.

The press office notes that it is yet unknown, who of senior officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police will take part in the ceremony of taking oath.
