Marinka remains hottest spot in Mariupol sector, - press officer Kindsfater

Over the past 24 hours, terrorists' snipers were actively operating in the vicinity of Marinka town.

Speaker of the M sector Oleksandr Kindsfater told 112 TV Channel, Censor.NET reports.

"The Russian mercenaries shelled Ukrainian positions near Marinka and Novotroitske 11 times over the past 24 hours. The occupants fired from small arms, heavy machine guns, and grenade launchers of different systems. Terrorists' snipers were active in the vicinity of Marinka town. Marinka remained the hottest spot in the Mariupol sector," he said.

Ukrainian soldiers were forced to fire back twice, Kindsfater said. No casualties were reported among the Ukrainian servicemen in the M sector.

"The last shelling in the Mariupol sector was reported yesterday around 8 p.m. At the moment, the situation is calm and under control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," he added.
