Russia blocked transit of Ukrainian goods

Russia has completely blocked Ukrainian transit of goods through its territory.

Ukrkondprom chairman Oleksandr Baldyniuk told Evropeiska pravda, Censor.NET reports.

"The transit of confectionery goods has been completely blocked. We have been just informed that Russia returned our vans heading to Central Asia," he said.

Earlier, Oleksandr Baldyniuk told about the problems with the transit of Ukrainian cargos heading to the South Caucasus countries; Georgia and Azerbaijan in particular, through Russia.

Transit problems with Russia have started earlier this year as a part of "hybrid response" of the Russian Federation at the free trade regime between Ukraine and the EU countries. Moreover, Russia is going to introduce a ban on the export of Ukrainian food products and increase taxes on the rest of Ukrainian export.
