Verkhovna Rada renames Dnipropetrovsk

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has renamed Dnipropetrovsk city to Dnipro.

The corresponding bill on the renaming of the city has been supported by 247 people's deputies, Censor.NET informs.

The renaming of the city has been approved by the parliament under the decommunization law of Ukraine, stipulating for ban of Communist-related geographical names, monuments, etc.
