"I am not a guinea pig," - CEC Deputy Head Mahera explains refusal to take polygraph test

Central Election Commission Deputy Head Andrii Mahera has refused to undergo a polygraph test.

Mahera said it in his comment to Censor.NET.

"First of all, I wondered whether I should do it. As a lawyer, I know that the possibility of wrong polygraph test results makes up to 10 percent. I really wouldn't like to fall within this 10 percent," Mahera said.

"I don't want to be a guinea pig," he added.

At the same time, he confirmed he had testified orally.

"We are talking about a probe into the so-called Party of Regions' slush funds. But I have nothing to do with them," Mahera explained.

According to him, the entire interrogation was videoed.

"Perhaps, Mr Kholodnytskyi will want to publish this record. I can't publish anything, as being a witness, I have no right to disclose this data," Mahera noted.

"I have no objections to the publication of the video. However, basically I can only call it a mockery," the CEC member concluded.

As previously reported, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office proposed some of the Central Election Commission members, including CEC Head Mykhailo Okhendovskyi, to undergo a polygraph test.
