U.S. Senate approves Marie Yovanovitch as ambassador to Ukraine

The U.S. Senate confirmed Marie L. Yovanovitch as the new ambassador of the United States to Ukraine.

As informed by Censor.NET, this was announced by New York Times reporter David Herszenhorn in his Twitter.

In addition, the reporter congratulated current Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt with appointment as U.S. ambassador to Greece and wished him good luck.

Yovanovitch currently serves as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs. Between 2001 and 2004 she was the Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine.
