95% of drones procured for Armed Forces are made in Ukraine, Defence Ministry says
Drone Industry

Of the total number of UAVs that the Defence Procurement Agency DOT procures for the Defence Forces, 95% are Ukrainian-made drones.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defence.
Last year, purchases of unmanned systems exceeded ammunition purchases for the first time, and this trend continues.
Role of DOT-Chain Defence in Ukraine’s drone market
The launch of the DOT-Chain Defence weapons marketplace played an important role in the development of the Ukrainian drone market. The system created a market-based model in which procurement decisions are made directly by the end users — servicemen of combat brigades.
In particular, this:
- strengthened competition among manufacturers;
- created incentives to improve service quality and upgrade products;
- gave manufacturers the ability to forecast demand and scale up production.
As a result, Ukraine’s UAV market has significantly increased its production capacity and now provides the vast majority of procurement in this category.
In less than five months of 2026, the military has already received 485,000 UAVs and other equipment worth a total of UAH 31.4 billion through DOT-Chain Defence.
The platform is also integrated with Brave1 Market, where the military can order additional drones and equipment using e-points under the Army of Drones.Bonus programme.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian defence technology company SkyFall has unveiled the P1-SUN Long – a new modification of its interceptor drone equipped with an integrated AI module for autonomous target detection and engagement.
As reported, more than 100 Ukrainian companies already have access to the Brave1 Dataroom and use the platform to train artificial intelligence models based on real data.
