Gymnast Oleh Verniaiev wins second Ukraine’s ‘silver’ in Rio

The world champion, four-time European champion, two-time champion of European Games Oleh Verniaiev won a silver medal in men’s gymnastics all-around at Rio Olympics.

The Ukrainian gymnast received 92.266 points almost dethroning Japan's gymnastics "king" Kohei Uchimura with his 92.365 points. British Max Whitlock got 90.641 points.

As reported, the Ukrainian team forfeited four full routines and finished around 60 points behind the seventh-ranked team when member Maksym Semiankiv was injured and the team didn't replace him.
