Merkel may visit Kyiv in September
The German chancellor intends to honor the memory of victims of the Babyn Yar tragedy.
The Kyiv City State Administration expects German Chancellor Angela Merkel to visit Ukraine in late September in connection with the 75th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.This was announced by Kyiv City State Administration Deputy Chairman Oleksandr Spasibko.
"In fact, we are looking forward to it, we are preparing to see the president of Ukraine [at the event - ed.] and Angela Merkel," he noted.
According to Spasibko, all the activities dedicated to the anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy will be held at the highest level.
