Russian mercenaries shelled Maiorsk checkpoint in early morning, - State Border Guard Service

At 4 a.m. Aug. 15, Russian occupants opened fire upon the Maiorsk checkpoint.

"At 4 a.m., today, Russian mercenaries shelled the Maiorsk checkpoint, guarded by the military and border guards. The mortar fire was delivered from Horlivka, located in the territory not controlled by the Ukrainian government," the report reads.

As reported, the shells impacted the area in front of and behind the checkpoint.

"No casualties have been reported. Border guards did not fire in response," the State Border Guard Service noted.

As previously reported, militants opened fire 64 times in the anti-terrorist operation area over the past day.
