Russia is prepared to engage in peace talks with Ukraine only on basis of realities on ground, - Putin

The Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has described the proposals currently being put forward regarding a settlement in Ukraine as unacceptable to Russia.
This is reported by Censor.NET, citing Russian media.
"Exotic" offers
"Russia is prepared to engage in peace talks with Ukraine only on the basis of the realities on the ground," Putin said
Furthermore, he described the proposals for a Ukrainian settlement as ‘exotic’ and unacceptable to Russia.
Pandora’s Box
According to the dictator, Kyiv opened ‘Pandora’s box’ when it ‘began striking civilian targets’, and is now facing a response.
He also described the attempt to allegedly defeat Russia in 40 days as yet another "adventure by Kyiv and its Western backers".
"Our opponents have long dreamt of, and constantly spoken about, the goal of bringing Russia to the brink of collapse," Putin said.
In his view, Ukraine has not achieved a turning point in its conflict with Russia by "launching strikes on civilian targets". At the same time, he said, Russia has stepped up its strikes on Ukrainian defence industry facilities, including those in Kyiv, "in response to the enemy’s strikes on logistics facilities".
Putin is convinced that "the enemy is trying to intimidate Russians and disrupt the elections, and Russia will not allow this to happen"
