Spectacular manoeuvre: Ukrainian UAV knocked down Russian FPV drone with its wing as it attempted to attack it. VIDEO
A video has been published online showing a Ukrainian ground-based robotic system using a spectacular manoeuvre to shoot down a Russian FPV drone that was attempting to attack it.
According to Censor.NET, the incident was recorded by aerial reconnaissance personnel from the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade in the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region.
The footage shows a Russian FPV drone pursuing a Ukrainian unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) and descending almost to the ground in an attempt to attack the vehicle.
As it closed in, the NRK operator performed a sharp manoeuvre. The ground-based vehicle struck the Russian drone with its side and continued on its way after the collision.
The Ukrainian operator’s manoeuvre effectively turned the UAV from a target into a battering ram in a matter of seconds.
