In U.S., there is legal effort to remove Kushner from his position as Trump’s special envoy

The American nonprofit organization CREW has filed a lawsuit against Jared Kushner, demanding that he cease his diplomatic activities without proper financial disclosure. The plaintiffs point to potential conflicts of interest stemming from his investment business.
According to Censor.NET, this is stated in a press release published on the organization’s website.
The statement notes that Kushner is effectively performing the duties of a public official but is not complying with the requirements applicable to such officials.
Due to Kushner’s foreign investments, there are calls to require him to disclose his income
According to the plaintiffs, the court should bar Kushner from continuing to play his influential role in U.S. foreign policy and require him to file the necessary financial disclosure forms.
CREW stated that since the beginning of Trump’s second presidential term, Kushner has been granted significant diplomatic authority. He meets with foreign officials and represents the U.S. in negotiations aimed at ending wars between the U.S. and Iran, Ukraine and Russia, as well as resolving violent conflicts in the Middle East.
At the same time, Kushner heads the investment firm Affinity Partners, which manages more than $6 billion in assets. According to CREW, approximately 99% of these assets belong to foreign investors, including sovereign wealth funds from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
The company also has significant foreign investments, particularly in Israel. According to the plaintiffs, the combination of Kushner’s diplomatic role with his management of an investment business and foreign capital requires compliance with relevant transparency and reporting rules.
