Ukraine is better prepared for winter than in previous years, - Shmyhal

Ukraine has strengthened security at its power generation and transmission facilities. The government is allocating funds to protect energy facilities and restore infrastructure ahead of winter.
According to Censor.NET, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal stated this during Question Time with the government in the Verkhovna Rada.
According to the minister, Ukraine has taken into account the lessons learned from previous attacks and has strengthened the protection of its power generation and transmission facilities.
"We have taken into account all the lessons the enemy has taught us and have protected as much of our power generation capacity and electricity transmission capacity as possible," said Shmyhal.
Preparing for Winter
A key aspect of preparations for the heating season is providing energy companies with the necessary equipment. According to Shmyhal, more than 33,000 metric tons of various types of energy equipment have already been delivered to Ukraine from international partners for all regions.
The minister added that the government has focused its funding on further equipment purchases, the protection of energy facilities, and the restoration of damaged infrastructure.
"There is no doubt that today, the government's primary focus—in terms of allocating funds to continue procurement, provide protection, and facilitate recovery—is entirely on ensuring that we get through the coming winter," Shmyhal concluded.
