It’s Putin’s missiles, not Zelenskyy, that are maiming Ukrainians: Sikorski responds to Trump’s statement

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski reminded U.S. President Donald Trump that Ukrainians are being wounded as a result of Russian attacks, for which Vladimir Putin bears responsibility. This was the diplomat’s response to the American leader’s remarks about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to Censor.NET, Sikorski posted the statement on October 16 on social media platform X.
"We appreciate President Trump’s concern for the victims of the war but in Poland we think that those Ukrainians were injured by drones, bombs and missiles launched by Vladimir Putin," wrote the Polish foreign minister.
His post was a reaction to Trump’s interview with Newsmax, in which the U.S. president quoted a Ukrainian woman who allegedly accused Zelenskyy of destroying the country and causing suffering to its citizens.
According to Trump, he recently watched an interview with a young woman from Ukraine who claimed that President Zelenskyy had ruined the country and taken people’s husbands away from them.
The U.S. leader also repeated her remarks about Ukrainian men who, as a result of the war, have lost limbs, are in psychiatric facilities, or have died.
At the same time, Sikorski emphasized in his response that the injuries sustained by Ukrainians are the result of Russian attacks, not the actions of the Ukrainian president.
