Repeated strikes are hampering repairs: Russia has caused extensive damage to energy sector in eight regions, with situation being most severe in Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions, - Ministry of Energy

As a result of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, some consumers in the Zhytomyr, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Cherkasy and Kharkiv regions were without power this morning.
This was reported by Censor.NET, citing the Ministry of Energy’s press office.
Where is the situation most critical?
As noted, the most difficult situation regarding electricity supply is in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions.
"The energy infrastructure in these regions has suffered extensive damage. Damage to power equipment has disrupted the ability to transmit electricity to consumers. As a result, emergency power cuts are being implemented," the statement reads.
The Ministry of Energy asks the public to monitor announcements on the official pages of the distribution system operators in their regions. This is where up-to-date information on power cuts and changes to the electricity supply is published.
Repeated attacks
It is also noted that repeated Russian attacks are significantly hampering restoration work. The enemy is striking energy facilities, including those where repair work was almost complete. This is forcing energy workers to return to repairing the damaged equipment and is delaying the restoration of power supply to consumers.
Where the security situation permits, power engineers are continuing with emergency repair and restoration work.
