Rubio denied rumors about his resignation from Trump administration

Marco Rubio does not plan to leave the Trump administration

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio denied reports that he allegedly plans to leave President Donald Trump's administration.

According to Censor.NET, he stated this in a comment to The New York Times.

"Working for President Trump until the end of his term has always been my plan... To be honest, I don't know where these rumors are coming from. I like what I do. Besides, I always laugh when people say he's going to quit. I ask, ‘Which one, exactly?’" Rubio said.

Will Rubio run for U.S. president in 2028?

At the same time, the secretary of state declined to comment on whether he is considering running in the 2028 U.S. presidential election.

"I'm not going to talk about 2028 anymore. I'm just not going to do it," he said.

What led up to this?

Rumors about Rubio's resignation surfaced after the results of the U.S. midterm elections were announced. Media outlets also reported that Rubio is considering resigning from the Trump administration to prepare for the 2028 presidential campaign.
