"We have no suspects in custody now," - National Police head on probe into fire in Inter TV channel’s office
No one has been yet charged with arson attack on Inter TV channel’s building in Kyiv.
As reported by Censor.NET citing UNIAN correspondent, this was said by National Police Head Khatia Dekanoidze."We detained eight persons yesterday. The protocols on an administrative offence were drawn up against them. However, we have got no one in custody to date. The investigation is underway. We very much rely on the channel employees' cooperation so that we will be able to establish the cause of fire," she said.
"About four person requested medical assistance. One had one's arm bruised, another one had a hypertensive crisis. The details of the case available so far will be reported to me in Kyiv's Directorate today. It is critical for us now to establish the cause of fire," the National Police head added.
As reported, unknown individuals set tires on fire outside the building of Natsionalni Informatsiini Systemy Ltd. on 23 Shchuseva St. in Kyiv Sept. 4. The company produces Podrobytsi and Podrobytsi Tyzhnia TV shows for Inter TV channel. The fire broke out inside the building later.
