NABU puts Judge Chaus on national wanted list, - media
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has put Judge of the Dniprovskyi district court of Kyiv Mykola Chaus evading prosecution on the national wanted list. The judge is charged of accepting $150,000 in bribe.
As reported by Censor.NET, a source told Ukrainski Novyny."Chaus has been put on the national wanted list," the source said.
According to the source, the NABU detective has made a decision to declare Chaus wanted in Ukraine while the next step is drafting of documents necessary to put Chaus on the international wanted list.
As reported, Judge of the Dniprovskyi district court of Kyiv Mykola Chaus nabbed by the NABU detectives red-handed while excepting a large-scale bribe traveled from Ukraine to Belarus and left for occupied Crimea from there.
Earlier, NABU detectives nabbed Judge of the Dniprovskyi district court of Kyiv Mykola Chaus who was extorting and obtained an unlawful benefit in the amount of $150,000.
Chaus previously tried Euromaidan activists, convicted former leader of UKROP party Hennadii Korban, and made judgments in favor of Yanukovych's ally Yurii Ivaniushchenko, also known in criminal world as Yura Yenakievskyi.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine gave its consent to criminal prosecution, detention, and pretrial confinement of Judge Chaus Sept. 6.
