Lutsenko to demand stripping immunity of MP Skoryk
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko intends to introduce a motion in the Verkhovna Rada next week to strip immunity of Opposition Bloc MP Mykola Skoryk. Lutsenko said this at a meeting in prosecutor's office in the Odesa region, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine.
"I can also inform you that I intend to submit a request to the parliament next week on stripping of deputy immunity of then head of the regional state administration, citizen Skoryk, suspected of involvement in those sad events [when armed 'titushkas' covered by local police officers beat peaceful protesters in Odesa on Feb. 19, 2014, including women and news reporters - ed.]..." he said.
Skoryk was the head of the Regional State Administration in the Odesa region between November 2013 and March 2014. Presently, he is a member of parliament, Opposition Bloc.
