190 National Guard fighters died for Homeland, - Poroshenko

190 military of the National Guard of Ukraine have died since the beginning of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in the east of Ukraine in 2014.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Ukrainski Novyny, this was announced by President Petro Poroshenko at a ceremony of distributing apartment certificates to personnel of the National Guards.

"190 fighters of the National Guard gave their lives for their homeland," he said.

The attendees to the ceremony observed a moment of silence to commemorate the killed military.

Earlier, the National Guards of Ukraine received an observer status in the Association of Mediterranean and European Gendarmeries (FIEP).
