"Given the published information, there is not enough reasons for entering data in the Unified Register of pre-trial investigations. However, under the current legislation (law of Ukraine on the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine), the NABU has launched a verification of the information for indications of possible corruption," the statement notes.

The bureau has promised to announce the results of the check in the near future.
