Policeman found dead in Khmelnytskyi region

The man took part in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) and was a combatant.

Body of the policeman was found on the outskirts of the city of Khmelnytskyi, Censor.NET reports citing Police Department in the Khmelnytskyi region.

"On the outskirts of Khmelnytskyi city near the military range, a passerby found the body of a man with injuries typical of those received in the explosion. The man was in civilian clothes. Police is trying to identify the victim. Investigative team and bomb technicians are working at the scene," the report reads.

It turned out later that the victim is a 29-year-old police officer, who was on sick leave at the time of death. The man took part in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) and was a combatant. Criminal proceedings to be opened soon.
