Saakashvili resigns as Odesa governor

Mikheil Saakashvili has resigned from the post of governor of the Odesa region.

Saakashvili has said the president backs two clans in Odesa, while the region is being surrendered to not just corrupt officials but the enemies of Ukraine.

"In this situation, I've decided to resign and start a new stage of the battle," Saakashvili said.
