Trump mentioned Crimea's occupation and war in Donbas, - Poroshenko on recent talk with US president-elect
President Petro Poroshenko says U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump inquired about the situation in the Donbas and Crimea.
Poroshenko said during a news conference in Brussels, Censor.NET reports citing Espreso.TV."I can assure you that U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump himself asked about Russia's aggression and illegal annexation of Crimea. I don't want to unveil the details of this conversation," Poroshenko stated.
He added the talk allowed him to give Trump a detailed description of the situation in the east of Ukraine and Crimea.
"Ukraine has a strong support inside the United States, in the U.S. Congress, among Republicans and Democrats, and we don't expect any extraordinary changes here," Poroshenko said.
