Turchynov calls Yanukovych a Kremlin puppet following his masters’ instructions
National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov called fugitive former president Viktor Yanukovych the Kremlin’s stooge when commenting on the ex-president’s interview held by the Sviatoshynskyi district court of Kyiv.
Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN."Ukraine had a chance to look at its former ruler once again and understand the threat posed by a stooge unable to express himself properly, who was leading the country following all of the instructions of his Kremlin masters. It was a very serious risk for Ukraine as it could have lost its independence, its European outlook," Turchynov said to reporters in Kyiv commenting on questioning of Yanukovych as a witness in the trial of five ex-officers of Berkut riot police accused of Maidan activists' execution in February 2014.
The NSDC secretary also stressed that the fugitive ex-president had to be interrogated as the main suspect in the criminal proceedings filed into execution of people during the Revolution of Dignity.
As reported, the ex-president provided the Sviatoshynskyi district court of Kyiv with testimony via video link from the Rostov district court of the Russian Federation on Monday, Nov. 28.
