Odesa Port Plant announces temporary halt to work

Odessa Port Plant JSC has decided to suspend its production.

Censor.NET reports referring to the company's website.

"Due to the high price of natural gas supplied by Naftohaz Ukrainy [state-owned oil and gas producer], which is not in line with the prices of the plant's products on the global market and taking into account the impossibility of supplying natural gas by Naftohaz Ukrainy in 2017 until the current debt is settled, it was decided to temporarily halt the production," the statement notes.

The press service also reported the plant's administration, in coordination with the State Property Fund, is looking for companies interested in leasing the whole property complex of the plant for a long period.
