Russia seeks release of ex-Berkut officers accused of Maidan murders
Moscow seeks release of the former Berkut officers with the help of the ''DPR'' and ''LPR'' leaders.
Censor.NET reports citing Valentyna Samar's article for Dzerkalo Tyzhnia."The Russian side (represented by the leaders of the Donbas terrorist organizations) seeks the release of ex-Berkut officers Abroskin, Zinchenko, and Tamtur, accused of killing the Maidan protesters at Instytutska Street, despite the defendants have nothing to do with the Minsk agreements,'' she wrote.
According to Samar, the participants of the May 2 Odesa clashes were put in the list of the exchange of prisoners. Some of them have already been released.
Earlier, it was reported that Russia at least twice appealed to Ukraine with a proposal to exchange the former Berkut officers Abroskin and Zinchenko.
