Campaign to impeach Trump initiated by human rights activists
A campaign to build public support for Trump's impeachment went live at ImpeachDonaldTrumpNow.org
Censor.NET reports citing The Washington Post. The organizers behind the campaign, Free Speech for People and RootsAction, are hinging their case on Trump's insistence on maintaining ownership of his luxury hotel and golf course business while in office.
Ethics experts, including former ethics counsels to President Barack Obama and President George W. Bush, warned that Trump should divest from his commercial holdings and put the assets in a blind trust to ensure he would avoid conflict of interest. Trump is doing neither.
"If we were waiting for all the ill effects that could come from this, too much damage to our democracy would occur," Ron Fein, legal director at Free Speech for People, told The Washington Post.
