Soldiers opened fire at car at checkpoint near Shchastia, - ATO Staff
At the checkpoint near the town of Shchastia in the Luhansk region, the Ukrainian servicemen fired at a VAZ 2115 car as the driver tried to cross the checkpoint without passing the ID control.
Censor.NET reports citing the press center of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO).As reported, the driver hit the sergeant and dragged him on the hood of the car for about five meters. The sergeant fell from the hood and fired a warning shot. After the car continued to move, the servicemen used weapons.
The driver, a resident of Shchastia town, was not injured. The sergeant suffered minor injury: a lacerated wound of left thumb.
After the National Police arrived at the scene, the officers established that the driver was in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
