Death toll in St. Petersburg bombing rises to 14, - Fontanka

14 people have died in explosion on the St. Petersburg metro.

As reported, the bodies of 10 people were examined by forensic experts right in the carriage where the blast occurred, and in the tunnel between the Sennaya Ploshchad and Tekhnologicheskiy Institut stations. Two more victims died in the Mariinsky Hospital. According to the press secretary for the hospital, they were brought in a state of clinical death. Another woman died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital, and her body was taken to the morgue on Yekaterininsky Avenue.

Judging by the nature of injuries, the improvised explosive device was stuffed with metal balls and nuts.

According to official data, nine people were killed, 43 injured, including one child.

On April 3, a blast occurred at the Tekhnologicheskiy Institut station, in the center of Russia's second city. According to Open Russia NGO, there were two explosions: the first blast rocked the Tekhnologicheskiy Institut station while the second one occurred between the Sennaya Ploshchad and Tekhnologicheskiy Institut stations.

As reported by Gazeta.ru and RBC, at least 10 people died in the bombing. TASS news agency reported an unidentified explosive device was triggered on a metro train.
