A truck drove onto a busy sidewalk of one of the main streets of the Swedish capital and rammed into the corner of a department store.

Three people have been killed and shots have been fired after a truck ploughed into pedestrians in Stockholm, Swedish radio has reported.

Swedish Police are treating the incident as a possible terror attack, according to the SVT channel.

According to eyewitnesses, the out-of-control truck ran over at least two people.

Police said a number of people had been hurt in the incident.
