Ankara officially allowed Ukrainians to travel to Turkey using domestic ID-cards

On May 20, Ankara officially published an agreement on condition of mutual travels, allowing Ukrainian citizens to travel to Turkey using domestic ID-cards.

Head of the State Migration Service Maksym Sokoliuk wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"On May 20, the Turkish authorities officially published the agreement (#10324) between two countries on condition of mutual travels. Now, Ukrainian citizen can travel to Turkey with domestic ID-cards," Sokoliuk wrote.

"Nationals of the State of either Party shall enter, exit, transit through and stay in the territory of the State of the other Party without a visa, on the basis of valid travel documents, provided that their stay will not exceed ninety (90) days within one hundred and eighty (180) days period," the official agreement reads.

On March 10, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a draft agreement with Turkey on mutual trips on ID-cards.

On March 14, Ukraine and Turkey signed an agreement allowing citizens to make mutual trips on ID-card.

On May 17, President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani has signed a document allowing Ukrainian citizens traveling to the EU without visa.
