Police detained 24 ‘DPR’ militants at Donbas checkpoints last week

24 members of the illegal armed groups of the ‘Donetsk People’s Republic’ terrorist organization better known as the ‘DPR’ were apprehended at the checkpoints in the Donetsk region over the past week. The law enforcers also arrested five militants’ associates.
Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the Communications Department of the National Police of Ukraine.1,400 trucks, more than 20,000 cars, and over 38,000 people crossed the checkpoints in the Donbas over the past seven days.
The law enforcers averted four attempts to smuggle weapons and three attempts to import drugs into the country. Two wanted attackers were identified and taken to the local police precincts. The police also identified five persons who illegally stayed on the Ukrainian territory.
The law enforcers also reported two cases of documents forging and a truck impounded for carrying the goods without necessary documents.
