Last weekend, Ukrainian troops liberated and cleansed Sloviansk from the terrorists.

Defense Minister Valerii Heletei is at the scene.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called liberation of Sloviansk from heavily armed gangs a beginning of a breakthrough in the fight against the militants. "It is a turning point in the struggle for territorial integrity of Ukraine, for the return to normal life of the Donbas as an integral part of our big, strong, European country," mentioned Poroshenko.



According to Poroshenko, "civilians convened for a spontaneous rally in the support of Ukrainian servicemen."
