A large-scale fire wiped out 16 wooden houses and an administrative building at a seaside resort in Odesa late on Oct. 17.
As reported by Censor.NET, Oleksandr Krytskyi, deputy chief of the regional emergency service directorate, told local newspaper Dumskaia that the report on fire was received at 8:54 p.m. 18 fire trucks were engaged in extinguishing the fire that engulfed at least 600 square meters of premises. The fire suppression was complicated by strong wind gusts and heavily built-up area.
The fire wiped out 16 wooden bungalows and a two-story administrative building. No one was hurt in the incident, although the fire was accompanied by explosions of gas cylinders. The firefighters managed to extinguish the fire within two hours.
