Uber Shuttle passenger service was launched in Kyiv today.
Censor.NET reports citing Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelian post on Facebook.
"Today I had an excellent opportunity together with Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko, Uber’s General Regional Manager for Northern and Eastern Europe, Jamie Haywood and Acting Deputy Head of the United States Mission in Ukraine Joseph Pennington to present the Uber Shuttle service in Kiev," Omelian said.
"I am personally proud that Ukraine is changing, that large foreign companies not only enter Ukraine, but also successfully work here, expand their presence and are not afraid to provide service in Kyiv, which is not even presented in Europe. Kyiv is the first European city, where Uber Shuttle starts as the pilot project. We are the first!" he added.
Uber said that during the pilot project, customers will be able to book a seat in the minibus via the Uber application.
Uber Shuttle is a pilot project, which allows to book a seat in a minibus that will drive from one pre-arranged location along a fixed route to another pre-arranged location within the city.
