Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with Minister of Defense of the Republic of Italy Guido Crozetto. They discussed strengthening military and technical assistance to Ukraine and Euro-Atlantic integration.
This is stated by Censor.NЕТ with reference to рress service of Cabinet of Ministers.
"We are grateful to Italy for supporting Ukraine on its way to NATO. The Ukrainian army, with the support of its allies, is already implementing the best standards of the Alliance and proving in practice the superiority of these standards in the war against Russia," Shmyhal said.
He also emphasized that Italy is one of Ukraine's key allies in the defense sector, and Ukraine is interested in developing cooperation.
"Today we are focusing on the military-industrial complex. Ukraine has a great potential to develop this area and is able to be among the leaders in Europe," emphasized Denys Shmyhal.
He also thanked Italy for approving six packages of military and technical assistance and for its consistent support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
