The Security Service of Ukraine exposed another enemy accomplice during counter-sabotage operations in the frontline areas of Donetsk region.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the SSU press centre.

The offender was a resident of Oleksievo-Druzhkivka. The woman actively used the banned social network Odnoklassniki, where she posted anti-Ukrainian messages. She was recruited through this social network by a Russian intelligence service "liaison" who offered her to join reconnaissance and subversive activities against Ukraine in January this year.

To gather intelligence, the offender went out and covertly observed Ukrainian troops. She also used her neighbours and friends to ask them for information about the movement of the Defence Forces' military equipment columns. The offender collected intelligence for the occupiers about the locations of the Defence Forces' base and movements in the Bakhmut direction. She also tried to establish the coordinates of firing positions, fortifications and air defence systems of Ukrainian defenders.

She sent the information to the occupiers via a messenger in the form of text messages indicating the geolocations of Ukrainian facilities.

SSU officers detained the suspect while she was performing a hostile task. SSU officers found a mobile phone on her person, which she used to transmit classified information to the aggressor. The woman was served a notice of suspicion of collaboration (Part 7 Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The offender is in custody. She faces up to 15 years in prison.
