The United Nations has sent humanitarian convoys to the Kherson region. The mission is accompanied by Denise Brown, the UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the telegram channel of the Kherson Regional State Administration.
"The mission also included Sarah Hilding der Vedven, Head of the OCHA office in Ukraine (Sweden), Matthew Hollingworth, WFP representative and country director (Ireland)," the statement said.
The humanitarian aid includes drinking water, food packages, materials for housing repairs and medicines. The aid is being sent to the Belozersk community and Kherson, which has been hit hardest by flooding.
"The delegation met with the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, and representatives of the military administration. They talked about the needs of the region and the next aid arrivals," the statement said.
As a reminder, the UN Human Rights Office is still unable to confirm whether the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP was a war crime.
