The Armed Forces of Ukraine have introduced field uniforms for women.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defence, Censor.NET reports.
"The Ministry of Defence has approved a sample of the summer field uniform and it has been officially put into service.
Work on the introduction of women's field uniforms began in 2022. Since then, numerous meetings of working groups have taken place, as well as development and testing of the uniform.
According to the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov, the relevant procurement and supply procedures will be launched in the near future.
The updated model of the suit took into account all the wishes and comments of female servicemen who participated in military (research) tests.
Next in line are women's bulletproof vests.
Today, about 42,000 female servicewomen are serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, about 5,000 of them are at the forefront, performing combat missions on a par with men," the statement said.
